Interested in becoming involved with the Rebecca Lee Eventing Team and supporting a Canadian athlete? Rebecca would be happy to promote your company, products, services, or horses while training and competing at exciting events around North America. In return, there are many ways Rebecca can promote your business; through promotional clothing, logos on saddle pad, advertising on her trailer and in her barn! Rebecca would also be pleased to come to your business to talk about eventing, her goals and how her plans could benefit your company. Please contact Rebecca for more information.
Becoming an owner or part of a syndicate
Rebecca Is currently looking for a group of interested eventing fans to form a syndicate to develop an exciting prospect to the upper levels - join the team!
Chances are you are a horse lover and a sports fan. You probably enjoy watching top level athletes especially in equestrian sports. Watching and just being around horses does not bring the same phenomenal excitement that being directly connected to the top levels of eventing that horse ownership does. Past and current owners can relate to once-in-a-lifetime thrills at national championships, international events, and world games. The satisfaction of being an integral part of a top rider’s success - one that helps Canada win a team medal - is almost indescribable. Syndication provides nearly all of us with this opportunity. You can help our Canadian Team rise through the ranks in eventing, experience the excitement of being on that journey, while receiving in return, all the privileges and benefits associated with horse ownership.
As an owner, you can participate in several horses’ futures in a very integral way and watch them grow and flourish through the seasons. Syndications offer a sense of camaraderie amongst owners through shared interest. Competitions turn into a big party, your ownership offers a social club, networking opportunities, as well as the fulfillment of being part of elite sports.
Horse ownership syndication is when a group of people come together to purchase shares. For example, a typical horse ownership syndication offers 5 to 10 shares, if it’s 10, then you and 9 other people will own the event horse and help maintain the costs of our event horse on an annual basis. The good news is that all of these costs are usually predetermined, and syndications come in price ranges and by “teaming up” with a group, you are mitigating the risks involved with ownership and reducing the monetary outlay both upfront and in continuing care and development costs. Share costs are determined by the level of experience of the horse and by the number of shares offered.
What if I want to be a single or joint owner of Rebecca’s horses?
No problem! I am happy to also have horses owned by one person or in a partnership with two people. In that case, a syndication would not need to be formed. You can be a private owner or your company can own the horse. The benefit of being a single owner are the virtually unlimited branding opportunities for you and your company to be displayed on your horse.
The benefits of being a member of a syndicate or a joint owner can vary and depend also on your goals as an owner. The benefits include regular communication from me and our team manager, stable visits, behind the scenes experiences, on top of the fun and the opportunity to be involved in the sport! You will receive updates about your horse’s training progress and competition schedule. These private - owners only, updates will be through private newsletters, videos, conference calls and meetings. You are encouraged to watch your horse compete, come and visit at the trailer or in the stable during the competition. There are owner passes at the FEI competitions to get you into the secure stabling areas and have access to owner tents and gatherings with special areas for viewing with refreshments. At the recent Fair Hill Event this past October, there was a great owner’s tent set up on the cross country with wine and finger food while you watched the horses gallop past!
Being part of an exciting journey from developing a relationship all the way to international competition is an inspiring experience whether you are the rider, groom, coach, or veterinarian. However, if you are the owner, the journey is so much more engaging as you are the supportive base under which the partnership between horse and rider thrives!
